Alpitude Gardena Carbon Saddle
Obscenely light. Surprisingly comfortable.
The Alpitude Gardena is built for riders chasing meaningful weight savings without turning their bike into something harsh or unrideable. At just 69g in its lightest configuration, this is one of the lightest full-carbon saddles available — and unlike most in this category, it’s actually rideable.
As Bicycling put it, the Gardena delivers “a surprising amount of comfort for a full-carbon saddle” and is “comfortable enough to tackle longer days on the bike”.
The difference is in the shape. A 245mm short-fit profile, generous central cut-out, and clean edge transitions support an aggressive riding position while reducing pressure where it matters. There’s no padding — but there doesn’t need to be.
Handmade in the Dolomites, every saddle reflects Alpitude’s approach: minimal material, maximum intent. It’s the kind of upgrade you feel every time the road tilts up.
If you're chasing a lighter, sharper, more responsive ride — this is one of the few upgrades that genuinely moves the needle.

Is the Gardena actually comfortable, or just light?
It’s both. Independent testing found it offers a “surprising amount of comfort for a full-carbon saddle”, even without padding. :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1}
The short-fit shape and large cut-out do the work — not foam.
How much weight does this actually save?
A lot. Many premium saddles sit between 130g–220g. The Gardena starts at 69g.
That’s one of the easiest places to pull 100g+ out of a build without compromising performance.
What rails does it use?
7×9mm oval carbon rails.
Most modern seatposts support this, but some require oval rail clamps — worth checking.
Is it suitable for long rides?
Yes — if you suit short-nose saddles. The Gardena was tested as “comfortable enough to tackle longer days on the bike”. by Bicycling.com
If you already get along with Power / Aeolus-style saddles, this fits straight in.
What’s the rider weight limit?
Maximum rider weight is 85kg.
If you're close to that limit, we can help you assess whether it’s the right fit.
