The FullOver - Schmolke's Largest Racing Handlebar!

Ergonomics

With a reach of 89 mm and a drop of 138 mm, this full carbon road handlebar is Schmolke's largest racing handlebar, in order to achieve a greater difference in posture for tall riders in the different grip positions. The design of the top bar makes it possible to mount the brake levers in such a way that they merge perfectly with the roadbars.

The advantage of this lightweight full-over carbon handlebar is the larger diameter throughout the drops. This results in one of the world’s stiffest carbon handlebars. It also provides a comfortable grip, even for large hands. In addition, the lightweight carbon handlebars have recessed cable grooves on the underside for those who do not want to route the cables in the racing handlebars.

Construction

Like all of the TLO series products, the lightweight full carbon racing bars are hand-wound (about carbon) from the best prepregs available on the market to suit your weight and riding style. The layer structure, further refined over 30 years of production experience, with up to 16 layers in the heavily stressed middle section and only 5 layers in the lightly stressed lower arch, enables the incredible weights despite the well-known rigidity and legendary indestructibility.

Ordering information

Note that Schmolke measure our carbon drop bars from the outside out. As standard,  road bike handlebars are not intended for use with triathlon or time trial handlebars. If you would like to use your lightweight carbon handlebar with an aero handlebar, please let us know when ordering. The necessary reinforcement increases the weight of the carbon bar by around 7g. All of the drop bars can be shortened by 10 mm at their ends. Commercial customers are usually supplied with standard handlebars, i.e. without time trial handlebar reinforcement. These thin-walled carbon handlebars can be complimented with custom-made Fullover carbon brake levers and Fullover carbon handlebar plugs.

Surface options

All Schmolke lightweight carbon roadbars are unpainted to avoid adding unnecessary weight. Above all, the epoxy surface is much more resistant than any paint finish. It is therefore not scratched as quickly.

All Schmolke lightweight carbon drop handlebars come in the current matte look. TLO drop bars can be ordered in 1k weave or UD. 1k is the classic carbon look with (biaxially) crossed fibres. With UD (unidirectional), all carbon fibres run in one direction. This gives the surface a uniform black, almost painted look. Colour options

All TLO carbon racing handlebars are available in 3 different logo colours: Schmolke Edition (red/white), Black Edition and White Edition so you can choose the most aesthetically pleasing colour to match your set-up.
