Where does the 260g difference come from?
Princeton has reduced each Peak Evolution II rim to a claimed 390g. Schmolke’s 50mm rim weighs approximately 315g.
That is around 75g less per rim, producing approximately 150g of the difference before the hubs and spokes are considered. Importantly, that saving is concentrated at the rim, where reducing rotating mass has the greatest effect on how quickly the wheels accelerate and respond.
