Carbon comfort without the heavy saddle
The J-Series is the Gelu saddle for riders who want more comfort, but do not want to go back to a bulky padded saddle.
Instead of relying on foam or extra material, the J-Series uses Gelu’s carbon spring design. The shape is inspired by traditional spring saddles, but rebuilt in full carbon for a much lighter and cleaner result.
This gives you a saddle that can help absorb road buzz and vibration while still keeping the bike sharp, light and performance focused.
J1 or J3?
The Gelu J1 is the stronger option in the J-Series. It weighs approximately 88g and is suitable for riders up to 95kg. It is the better choice for gravel, rough roads, longer rides and riders who want more support from the carbon spring design.
The Gelu J3 is the lighter version of the J shape. It weighs approximately 78g and is suitable for riders up to 85kg. It is best suited to road bikes, recreation bikes, urban bikes and lighter riders who want the carbon spring feel in the lightest J-Series option.
Built for rougher roads and longer rides
The reason to choose the J-Series is not just the scale number.
The real benefit is the ride feel. The carbon spring layout gives the saddle more vibration control than a more rigid minimal carbon shape. That makes it a strong option for riders who spend time on coarse bitumen, gravel roads, urban roads or longer endurance rides.
You still get the lightweight carbon build. You still get the clean Gelu look. You just get a more forgiving platform underneath you.
Pressure relief where it matters
The J-Series uses a central pressure relief opening designed to reduce unwanted pressure through the middle of the saddle.
That matters on longer rides, especially when you are staying seated for extended periods or riding across rougher surfaces. The aim is simple: more support where you need it, less pressure where you do not.
Want to personalise your saddle?
Gelu saddles are handmade in Portugal and can be personalised to suit your own build.
Choose your colours, add your name, flag, logo or design details, and use the Gelu custom design PDF to show exactly what you want.
This is one of the biggest reasons to choose Gelu. You get a very light carbon saddle that can be finished to match your bike, not just another black saddle off the shelf.
